How current are the guides?
Each guide shows the date it was last checked against Shopify's documentation. Every guide is re-checked at least every 60 days.
Which guide should I start with?
Not launched yet: start Launch with Create your store and find your way around the admin. First sales: start Grow with Read your analytics and reports. Scaling up: start Scale with Stock across multiple locations.

Can app developers pay to appear in a guide?
No. No app developer, agency or theme developer can pay to appear in a guide, and guides do not recommend third-party apps. Where a guide names apps, they are examples from their own Shopify App Store listings, listed A to Z and never ranked.
